TLL Stair Step Card Challenge Mid-Way Reminder

We're halfway through the stair step card challenge at The Latte Lounge.

For this card, I used Basic Grey paper to make a larger back area. The sweet stamp is from Whiff of Joy and I colored her with Copics. I bought a bunch of silk spring flowers from Michael's the other day. They're great for projects. I just cut the backs off so they'll glue mostly flat.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Whiff of Joy #100 - anything goes
2. Fab 'n Funky #65 - more than one fold
3. Delicious Doodles #18 - floral fantasy
4. Totally Gorjuss #73 - spring is sprung
5. Cupcake Inspirations #105 - I was inspired by the spring flowers.

Sparkly Yumminess

Hello all! Peanut and I have been working on sparkly cards today. I actually let her use the glitter out of my drawer and she went crazy with it :) We used Sweet on You from Fresh Brewed Designs. I went a little overboard with the glitter too. I just love this yummy image. We added flowers, a sticker sentiment, and stick on rhinestones.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
1. Fresh Brewed Designs #40 - two or more embellishments
2. Simon Says - Mother's Day/Girlie - I went with girlie. I don't know if it gets much girlier than pink, sparkles, and something sweet.
3. Do You Stack Up #12 - shine on

Tickled Pink Times Two and a Turtle

Peanut wanted me to share her turtle with you. We have a wonderful library and they send home a craft from every story hour. They're always fun. Peanut and I usually do them on the weekends together, although Daddy takes her to story hour.

I was playing with my Tickled Pink digis last night. Kellie was so generous on the Tickled Pink Facebook site. She had asked us what digi we wished was free for a day...and then she gave us our choice!!! Thank you Kellie! I chose Lil Lad Eric. I've been drooling over him since he was released. He really appeals to me - love those glasses.

I colored him with Copics. I find the TP Little Lolitas and Little Lads really challenge my coloring and I like that. I used Basic Grey Hopscotch papers and some new flowers I got in the Michael's dollar bin.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Tickled Pink Challenge #12 - one for the lads
3. Stampavie #134 - for a boy
4. Lexi's Creations #35 - ribbons but no bows or knots
5. Charisma Cardz #12 - birthday for a teen

I was in a totally Tickled Pink mood last night and decided to play with Lil Christmas Lad Frankie. He reminds me of me during the holidays - running around with a panic-ed look on my face. Peanut and I have been cleaning up the craft room and I realized that I have a ton of Stickles/glitter glue, so I let loose on this Christmas project. I also used up some of my stash from last year's Christmas projects - yeah!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Tickled Pink Christmas Challenge #1 - red, green, and gold
2. Winter Wonderland - Oh Baubles - I used a die cut ornament to accent my poinsettia.

Hoppy Tilda!

This Bunny Tilda is perfect for decorating Easter Baskets and spring cards. I'm working on decorating more Easter baskets. I really like the yellow/orange color combination on this one. I used the flowers for inspiration.

I colored Tilda with Copics and added Stickles to her wings and eggs.

I'd like to enter this basket in the following challenges:

2. Crafts and Me #27 - anything goes
3. Polkadoodles #12 - spring has sprung
4. Stamp Something - Spring somethings

Kellita Corner Bookmark

Kellie has a challenge on the Tickled Pink Facebook page to create a corner bookmark. I thought I'd try a simple one featuring Kellita. I tried coloring with pencils. I kept it fairly plain so it will go nicely into a book.

Mini Easter Tildas

I've had my first experience with Magnolia Minis! It took me a while to figure out how to ink them up, but I eventually got that straightened out. I used Mini Hello Tilda for my first adventure.

I wanted to make a card with matching corner bookmark. I used sticky back chipboard that Melissa had sent me for the TLL Secret Sweeties exchange. Glitter seemed to be in order for these projects!

For the bookmark, I used the same chipboard to make the image stand up a little bit. This (and the one I'll show you tomorrow) are my first corner bookmarks. The

I'd like to enter these in the following challenges:
Magnolia Down Under #88 - sketch (just the card)
Totally Tilda #18 - use chipboard
Your Next Stamp #38 - make it sparkle

TLL Stair Step Card Challenge

Hello all! It's time for a new challenge at The Latte Lounge. This time, we're trying our hand at stair step cards. Peanut and I both used the same images - Theater Audrey and the Theater background. The challenge is open until April 4th and the winner will receive 2 digis from The Stamping Boutique!

Here's Peanuts card. She cut Audrey out herself!
Here's my card. I colored Audrey and the stage using Copics. I added some flowers that I pulled off a flower bunch from Michael's and put a little glitter dot in the center of each one.
You have until Wednesday to enter TLL's Spring Fling digi day challenges. Each challenge has a different prize sponsor. There are a lot of other great challenges going on, too!

TLL Digi Day Challenges

We had a great time at the TLL Digi Day last night - chatting and playing games. There are several challenges going on for digi day. You have until Wednesday to enter the challenges (the kids challenge is going on for 2 weeks).

Peanut is on the DT for the kids challenge (open until April 1st). She really loved this dragon image from Didge at Stitchy Bear Stamps. She picked this great paper from Floppy Latte Designs. Peanut used her Crayola markers and her ladybug stickers.

Peanut would like to enter this card in Challenge #19 at Kona Kid Krafters - anything goes.

Rhonda has a great color challenge sponsored by Glitterbabe. Stef provided us with sweet images. I love these beautiful butterflies. The color challenge is pink, blue and green. I read it as pink, PURPLE, and green. Oh, well! I've been decorating these little baskets I picked up from the dollar bin at Michaels. I got some little flower bunches and used ribbon from my stash (stay tuned, there will be more of these). I colored the image and added glitter, then cut them out. There's one on each side of the basket.

I'd like to enter this project in the following challenges:
1. AI Factory #72 - things with wings

My challenge for digi day is flowers or fairies - use an image featuring flowers or fairies or flowers and fairies. I made two projects for this challenge. The challenge sponsor is DtsArt who provided the DT with this cutie. I made a little paper basket using papers from the DSWV Sweet Stack. For some reason, this apple image just screamed for a basket.

I'd like to enter this project in the following challenge:
1. Digital Tuesday #102 - it's a magical world

For my second project, I used Audrey at the Windmill from The Stamping Boutique. I used the tutorial for Maria's treat box. It was super easy. Perfect for spring treats.

I'd like to enter this project in the following challenges:
1. Stampavie #133 - spring or Easter
2. Do You Stack Up #11 - add a bow

I didn't get a chance to make a sample for Melissa's fab sketch challenge. You have 1 day left to enter my animal challenge - new challenge tomorrow.

Maggie Notes Set

I bought some little notecards at Michael's and I wanted to make them into a set. I didn't really know where to start, so I layed them all out and cut out a cereal box base. Then I basically wrapped the base with paper and added a flip open cover. I decorated the cover with JLJ Designs Pink and Chocolate paper (one of my favorite color combos) and added a sweet Japanese Tilda. I colored her with Copics in pink and purple (another favorite color combo). Here's the front cover:
Here's the inside with two sizes of notecards and a matching pen. I reused the plastic that the cards came in to make pockets.
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
1. Fresh Brewed Designs #39 - spots and dots
2. Pixie Dust #66 - go green - I recycled a cereal box and the plastic the cards came in to make this project.
4. Just Magnolia #98 - favorite color combo
5. Papercutz #83 - anything goes

20's Evie

(3rd Post) You saw Peanut's card earlier this week using 20's Evie. I thought I'd give her a try as well. I'm continuing my gray/black coloring quest. I added pink this time. I really love pink and gray/black. I added a bow from seam binding and flowers from my stash.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Tickled Pink #10 - black and white +1 - I chose pink.
3. PolkaDoodles #10 - black and white +1

Luck 'o The Irish

(2nd post) I was busy in the craft room this weekend and I wanted to get my cards posted this week so I didn't miss the challenges I created them for. Sorry they're all at once.

I didn't make too make too many Irish-themed cards this year. I love this cutie from Pixie Dust Studios. I colored her with Copics and added green glitter glue to her headband and the pleats in her dress. The papers are all JLJ Designs from my Lucky Paper Pack. I printed the sentiment and added green flowers, bling, and butterfly. A whole new meaning for "going green."

The monthly challenge at The Latte Lounge is Everyone's Irish in March. Be sure to enter your St. Pat's cards!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges (it should be lucky :)
1. Pixie Dust Studios #65 - thank you for being you
2. AI Factory #71 - luck of the Irish
3. Delicious Doodles #16 - green for St. Pat's
5. Allsorts #94 - Luck 'o the Irish

My First Box Card

I was totally inspired by Kathrin's project for the Magnolia Down Under 2nd Birthday Celebration. I'd never made a box card like this before and I thought I'd give it a try. I didn't attempt all the wonderful goodies Kathrin has in her box.

I guessed at the dimensions of a box and lid that would fit a Tilda inside. I used papers from DCWV's Glitter Stack. I added bows on top from seam binding (just got some in the mail!)

I colored Tilda with Copics using pink and purple. I cut her out and attached her to a bent paper clip. I buried her in flowers to hide the paperclip.

I'd like to enter this project in the following challenges:
1. Magnolia Down Under #87 - use two - I used two ribbons, two DPs (one had several patterns on it), and 2 colors for Tilda (pink and purple).
2. Simon Says - Anything Goes
3. Fab 'n Funky #63 - make it girly
4. Cute Card Thursday #155 - Happy Birthday

Facebook Faceoff - Week 2

It's week 2 in the Brownie Scraps Facebook Faceoff. Thank you to everyone who voted for me last week!

This week the challenge was "Chocolate and Cheese." We had to create a kit with opposites. I wanted to make a kit with traditionally boy things in more girly colors. Peanut loves dinosaurs, trucks and bugs, just as much as she loves being a princess :) I used purple and green, which are on opposite sides of the color wheel. For my patterned papers, I used two polka dots and two plaids, which seemed opposite to me. Here's my preview:
Please vote for me on Facebook. You'll need to "like" my preview. If you haven't voted before, you may also need to "like" Brownie Scraps before you can vote.

Like last week, part of the challenge was to create a cluster freebie. You can download my cluster at Brownie Scraps. You may need to log in to be able to download.

I made a layout using the kit - featuring Peanut, who else? The papers and elements are all from my kit. The font is "You Wish You were a Shirley" from Fonts for Peas.

Thanks for your vote and Happy Crafting!

TLL Animal Challenge - Mid-Way Reminder

We're halfway through the Animal Challenge at The Latte Lounge. My card today features An Uncommon Friendship from The Stamping Boutique. I colored the image with Copics and then added Glossy Accents all over. I was trying to make it seem as if you were looking into the water. I added stickers from Creative Memories to make a watery scene.

This is my first circle easel card. I didn't use a tutorial or template, so I'm not sure if I did it quite right. I think the circle is perfect for this card.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
2. Charisma Cardz #10 - easel cards
3. The Crafty Pad #112 - buttons - the two blue flowers on the edges are buttons.
4. Creative Inspirations #55 - easel cards

There are a lot of great challenges going on at The Latte Lounge. We're hosting a Spring Fling Digi Day Saturday 8-10 pm ET. I'll see you there!

Please vote for me in the Sweet Pea Stamp-Off. My card is #18.

Crafting All Weekend

I spent much of the weekend in the craft room. Including this morning, when DH and Peanut helped me clean up. It's much neater in there now.

I played along this weekend with the Some Odd Girl Digi day. I made this clean and simple card using Kite Flying Tobie. I colored him with Copics and then layered up two papers on an embossed card.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Peanut's Gallery - Make It Pink

The challenge this week at Make It Colourful is a kid's challenge. I told Peanut and she was really excited. She enjoyed looking through all the kid's cards and finding out how old they were.

Peanut wanted to color a person and she chose 20s Evie from Tickled Pink Stamps. The challenge was to color with pink. This was definitely a challenge for Peanut as her favorite colors are red and blue. She used several shades of pink and chose a dark pink paper.

Christmas Ducks

It's not too late to vote for me in the Brownie Scraps Facebook Faceoff. Click here, "like" Brownie Scraps (if you don't already), then "like my picture." I'd greatly appreciate it. You can get this kit in my store at Stitchy Bear Stamps.

I made a set of cards using my Christmas ducks. They are sold as a set of three and Snowduck is sold separately. I colored these with Copics. I wanted a simple design, so I used plaid paper from my stash and added a Christmas sentiment sticker to each one.

These cards would be great for my animal challenge at The Latte Lounge. I hope to see you there!

Same Lolita Two Ways

I really admire all the lovely black and white images that I see around. I wanted to try doing my own. I used the C series gray Copics to color 30's Lylah. I used papers from my stash that were perfect for a black and white card. I added faux black stitches around the image.

I decorated the inside of the card using the leftover papers. Check out Rhonda's challenge to decorate the outside and inside at The Latte Lounge.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Tickled Pink #9 - sewing
2. Digis with Attitude #20 - anything
goes
3. Cardmadfairy's Digi Days #3 - glitz and glamour - I think black and white is very glamourous and I love the silver butterflies on this paper.
5. Craft Your Days Away #15 - black and white

I made a card using the same image, but I wanted to see the effect of a bright accent color. I think red goes perfectly with black and white. I colored 30's Lylah with Copics. I tried to make her hair and hat shiny on this card. I added red Stickles to her hat band as well.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Make it Colourful #9 - color with shine
2. One Stop Craft Challenge #121 - black and white +1
3. The Crafty Pad #111 - use a ribbon
4. Paper Sundaes #59 - stripes
5. Craft Your Passion #48 - anything goes

Please consider voting for my digi scrap kit Bella Luna - just "like" the preview. You can find the details here.
