2 Cute Ink Challenge #119 - yellow, orange, and brown

It's time for a new challenge at 2 Cute Ink!  This fortnight we're all about the fall colors.  I'm loving the trees around my house right now and they are the perfect inspiration for the yellow, orange, and brown challenge at 2 Cute Ink.  I made my card using Give Thanks.  I cut a window in the front of the card and put the sentiment on the inside.  I framed it with some gorgeous ribbon that I had from May Arts and finished it off with a little flower paper strip that I had left over from another project.

2 Cute Ink Challenge #117 - Princess and Queens

I had my 20th high school reunion this weekend.  I had a great time, but I feel like I've been playing catch-up the rest of the weekend!

It's challenge day at 2 Cute Ink Challenges and the theme is Princesses and Queens.  Heidi has this beautiful princess on sale for just $2!

Since I was going to my reunion, I wanted to make thank you cards for our two reunion planners.  I thought this princess would be perfect.  I made them in our school colors of red, white and blue.  I also got out my new Sizzix triplits dies to make the tags.  I was right - they're perfect for adding sentiments to your cards.

When I saw Dilly Beans Doodled Flowers Framed, I thought it was a great inspiration for an art journal page.  I've always loved the quote, "Bloom where you are planted."  I tried playing with creative lettering for the first time on this page.  I printed the stamp on wax paper and added it to bottom of the page.  I cut out three of the flowers from a second stamp and put them around the page.  I used the doodled frame as inspiration for my page.

I've been experimenting with art journaling recently.  I watercolored the background.  I made a collage sheet with paper and embellies from Kristin Aagard's Nerd Alert, and tore that up to make the tree trunk.  I printed the map paper from the same kit to make the "leaves."  I added an apple with glasses from the same kit.  I found the Apple a Day Kit from the Orchard Girls at Scrap Orchard and added the other apple and the tag with a quote I found from Carl Sagan.

2 Cute Ink Challenge #114 - Anything Goes!

I'm so excited to announce that I'm now a member of the 2 Cute Ink Design Team!  I love these super cute images and am delighted to join.

Today, is my first card for the 2 Cute Ink Challenge.  Since the challenge is anything goes and Peanut's 7th birthday is coming up (where has the time gone?!?), I thought I would make a birthday card for her.  As with many little girls, her favorite colors are pink and purple and she loves unicorns.  Lucky Unicorn is perfect!

I colored Lucky Unicorn with Copics.  I added silver glitter to her mane and tail, which is really sparkly and not showing up in the picture.  I added silver doilies, silver net, feathers (instead of leaves) and a flower.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. 4 Crafty Chicks #209 - something old/something new - the image is new and the embellies are old - you're right it is good to go through the stash
2. Crafty Girls Challenge #25 - anything goes
3. Cute Card Thursday - anything goes
4. Southern Girls Challenge - It's all about texture
