Mistletoe and Holly Christmas Card

Again, Peanut wanted to be the craft room more than she wanted to watch TV. Everyone says she's my kid! It just cracks me up.

I've made a Christmas card for today. I used the angel stamp that came with the Stamping for Christmas set I bought several years ago (and have mentioned multiple times). The paper is from my stash. I tried some new things on this card. I sewed a green line around the cream circle. Turns out sewing wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I also have been admiring these ribbon accents that I've seen, so I tried to replicate it with some cream organdy ribbon. Fun and, also, easier than I expected!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
1. One Stitch at a Time #17 - Celebrations - Christmas is my favorite celebration.
2. ABC Christmas Challenge - M is for Mistletoe with the added challenge of sewing

Eclipse Bella Card

This week at Pixie Dust Studio Challenge (#26) is "What does Twilight mean to you?" I really loved all the books and finally got around to watching the first two movies last month. I loved them both. I really like the romance in the books and the fact that Bella is an ordinary girl.

Peanut helped me make this card. She picked out some "sparkly things" to include - a moon and a heart. She also said that we needed ribbon. I let her choose from all of the black/white/sparkly papers that I had for the card. The stamp is Eclipse Bella from Pixie Dust Studio. I really love this sweet image!

Crafting with Peanut

Peanut and I did our first craft project together over the weekend. She picked out the stamp that she wanted to use (from studio g). Then she colored it herself. I let her pick a flower and ribbon. She liked looking through my embellishment box of sequins and buttons. She made this card for her cousin's birthday.

We ended up making four cards together this weekend and she helped with my Walk with Me card. I think I have a budding crafter on my hands!
