2 Cute Penguin!

Are you up to your eyeballs in snow?  It seems like we have been!  It snowed again Saturday, so we stayed inside and I had time to make cards.  I thought this cute little penguin would be perfect for this frosty day.  He was really fun to color.  I played with using warm whites for the penguin and cool whites for the snow to give it contrast.  I really love the way it turned out.

Color Challenge at 2 Cute Ink

It's time for a color challenge at 2 Cute Ink Challenges - green, blue, and brown.  Holly gave us this cute Pitbull Pup to play with this week.  He just screamed "guy card" to me, so I went super masculine.  The sentiment is one that I got from a stamp exchange, and I realized that it's a fantastic all purpose stamp.

Inspiration Wednesday 3

I'm still having great fun playing along with Inspiration Wednesday.  This week took me out of my comfort zone!  I did keep with my 2015 theme of Brave, though.

I thought it would be good to get an early start on my Christmas cards this year.  Think February is early enough?  I love this little Knitting Birdie from 2 Cute Ink.

I had so much fun last week playing with Wendy's card templates that I decided to try another one from the same pack this week.  I also added the large paper flower from the January hybrid challenge at Scrap Orchard.  It love how the flower coordinates perfectly with the card since I made them all from the same digital scrapbooking kit.

Two Cute 2 Cute Cards

I have two cute 2 Cute Ink cards to share today.  It's challenge day at 2 Cute Challenges and the theme is Valentine's.  I'm on a total popcorn kick recently, so I was delighted when Heidi came out with this cute image - Sweet and Salty.  I decided they really stood alone, so I went for a CAS card.  I'm really pleased with the shadowing!

Did you get the 2 Cute Ink Newsletter Freebie?  Be sure to make a card and join in on the 2 Cute Ink Facebook site.  I kept my CAS theme going with this card.  I wanted to doodle a border, so I used my green Copic.  It didn't give me as much control as I'd hoped for, but I still think it's a bright, fun card.

As I was looking at the colors for this challenge, I realized that I just didn't have the right paper.  I also realized that there were digital scrapbooking kits that would have the right colors and would be super easy to use.  When I was looking at Scrap Orchard, I found these great card templates from Wendy and they made the cards go together VERY easily.  I printed most of the cards as a single layer, and then printed the tags separately so that I could add baker's twine accents.
