Same Sweet Girl Two Ways

This sweet girl is from Mo's Digital Pencil and is part of the Help for Katie images.

I colored her with Copics for the color challenge (red, yellow, orange, and neutrals) at Mo's challenge. In my wardrobe, blue jeans count as neutrals :) I used some JLJ Designs papers from my stash and finished the card with some felt flowers that I got at Michael's the other day.

I used the same image to make another card - she's just SO SWEET! This time, I used more pinks and browns. I used the same simple layout with DCWV papers. I added a Happy Birthday sentiment. This card is for Jak's challenge using images from the Help for Katie collection.

TLL Digi Paper Challenge - Mid Way Reminder

We're half way through the Baby Love Digi Paper Challenge at The Latte Lounge. The challenge is to make a baby card using digi papers and you can get two free papers in the challenge post. The winner will receive two The Stamping Boutique images AND the Baby Love Digi Paper Pack.

For my cards, I used Baby Roger from Ellephantastic. He's so cute! I colored him using Copics. I used Glossy Accents on his nose and the heart on his foot. Silver glitter glue finished off the safety pin on his diaper. I used the freebie paper from the challenge and a sentiment I printed out.

I'd like to enter these cards in the following challenges:
1. Simon Says - animal antics
2. Delicious Doodles #10 - spots or stripes

We have some great challenges going on at The Latte Lounge. Melissa is sponsoring a color challenge. You can make your own embellishment with Rhonda.

My First Valentine (of the year)

(3rd post) This is my first Valentine card for this year, I think. I took out my JLJ Designs paper folder and grabbed all the pink I could find. I think most of this is from the Stitchy Bear Stamps Feb collab. You can get it free with a $10 purchase through tomorrow.

You may remember this Tilda from earlier this weekend. I thought she'd also be a sweet Valentine with her basket of hearts. I gave her a red outfit this time as befitting the season.

I may have gone a little overboard with the embellishments :) I added a chipboard heart and Valentine's sentiment. I tried something new with the flower and the ribbons. There's an epoxy button holding the ribbon bow.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Create 4 Fun #5 - sketch
2. Totally Tilda #15 - lots of hearts
4. Charisma Cardz #4 - Valentines/Love
5. Prairie Fairy Fridays #45 - for a sweetheart
7. Paper Sundaes #54 - Valentine's

Some Odd Scallop Sketch

(2nd post) I'm still trying to use up leftover Christmas stash - hopefully before next Christmas! For this card I used papers from DCWV. The paper had the scalloped music notes on it. I cut it out and put it on another paper and added a ribbon and a button to match what was printed on the paper.

The image is from Some Odd Girl. I'm really into Glossy Accents for animal eyes and noses right now. The image is colored with Copics. I added a sticker to finish this card.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Some Odd Girl - scallops galore
2. wee memories #41 - get sketchy
3. Crafts 4 Eternity #4 - polka dots

I have a new Proud Mama Bunny digi stamp and Bouquet of Roses paper pack. You can get the digi stamp and paper pack together.

I colored the image with Copics and added some
pink glitter to the baby and the mama's bow. The sentiments are from a Cardmaking and Papercraft freebie. I finished the card off with ribbon and roses.

I'd like to enter this card in the Friday Sketchers #139 challenge.

Santa Ian

(3rd post) This is my third notecard/notepad holder. I have one more to show you and I'll show the inside on that one, so you can see what I'm talking about.

I opened up my sepia ink for the first time and stamped on brown cardstock. I love the way this turned out. I used papers from DCWV. I added a tree button and a Merry Christmas sticker.

I'd like to enter this project in the following challenges:
1. Club Anya - Mystery Monday

Winter Scene

(2nd post) This is another notecard/notepad holder. This time I created a scene using minis from Your Next Stamp. I stamped the image and then colored it with Copics. I used Glossy Accents to create the lake - this is my favorite trick with water. Since the scene is busy, I kept the rest of the cover pretty simple with a few Christmas buttons. The paper is all DCWV.

I'd like to enter this project in the following challenges:
1. Your Next Stamp #34 - create a winter scene
2. Stamp Something - Winter Somethings

Yummy Tilda

This is one of the Tildas I got in the after Christmas sale at 7 Kids. I colored her with Copics. I uses paper from DCWV Christmas combo - it's a huge stack, I'm going to be using this paper for a long time. I added a sticker that I got in the after-Christmas sales (it says Peace and Joy).

This project opens up to reveal a notepad with matching set of notecards.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. 7 Kids College Fund #13 - challenge yourself (I'm still working on coloring with Copics). I challenge myself every time I get them out.
2. Just Magnolia #91 - going dotty
4. TPE #92 - red, brown, and pink
6. Top Tip Tuesday #19 - fabulous flowers
7. Saturday Challenge #119 - hot chocolate - I love these browns!

I should have several posts today as I'm having a happy crafting weekend. Hope you are too! I'm headed to Zumba soon, but I'll be back.

Peanut's Rock Friend and a Yummy Card

Peanut created this elaborate story last night about making a rock friend with a house. The house had to have a door with a doorknob and a door bell. This morning she was still talking about it, so we made a rock house. She's been inseparable from her rock friend since the glue dried!

The paper and elements on this digi scrap page are from Brownie Scraps Summer Sweetness collab.

I got a chance to make a card today too, and it's yummy! I used Fresh Brewed Designs Sweet on You. I colored the image with Copics and added Stickles.
The paper is from DCWV's Sweet Stack. This card makes me hungry just looking at it!

I'd like to enter it in the following challenges:
1. Fresh Brewed Friday - make a birthday card
2. Phindy's Place #40 - sketch
3. Polka Doodles #4 - party time
4. Craft Your Passions #42 - use 2 patterned papers (the background is one piece of paper and the circle is the second).
5. Cupcake Craft Challenges #126 - food for thought
6. Crazy Challenge #51 - dots and stripes
7. Fab 'n Funky #57 - delight in your digi
8. Do You Stack Up #4 - patterns

Happy Australia Day!

Happy Australia day to all the Aussies! I've never celebrated before, but Make It Crafty has a fun game. We had an Australian exchange colleague for a while. He shared Vegi-mite (sp?) with us and we shared Twinkies. He wasn't that impressed with the Twinkies :)

So the game is to take Australian phrases and provide a "translation." Here's the list with my interpretation.

  1. You little Ripper - a small boy, see also tad (my aunt won a Scrabble game with tad, and it bothers me to this day!)
  2. Well I’ll be buggered! - Golly gee!
  3. Crikey - Gosh darn!
  4. Fair dinkum - a nice doughnut dipped in coffee
  5. On a good wicket - getting off on the right foot
  6. Make a proper galah of yourself - being caught with your pants down
  7. She’ll be apples - a sweet girl having red cheaks
  8. Ridgie Didge - a small gully in your yard, usually at the side of the road
  9. Buggerlugs - a boy with large ears
  10. Give it a burl - give it a try
  11. Bob’s yer uncle - nope, have a Jim though
  12. Go like the clappers - turning on and off (you know, clap on {clap, clap}, clap off {clap, clap})
  13. Ningnong - a tasty buttery snack cake covered in chocolate
  14. Good Onya! - atta boy
  15. Rough end of the stick - not a good place to sit!

That was fun! Hop over and give it a try.

TLL Digi Paper Challenge - Baby Love

This is a long post, settle in with a cup of coffee (or Diet Coke) and enjoy!

There's a new digi paper challenge at The Latte Lounge! This challenge is Baby Love - create a baby card using digital papers. Two papers from my Baby Love digi paper pack are available as a freebie in the challenge post. The winner of the challenge will receive two images from The Stamping Boutique AND the Baby Love digi paper pack
I have made four cards using my Baby Love digi paper pack. The image on each card is Baby Fairy from The Stamping Boutique. The first card is pink, pink, and more pink. I colored the image with Copics and added glitter to the little fairy and around some of the papers. I decorated the inside with a quote and the "negative" paper from the circle I cut for the front. I was inspired by Claudia (Pretty Pressings) to use both parts of the paper. I cut a 6"x6" square and then cut the circle out of the middle so it would be the right size.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Do It with Digis #2 - pink and girly
2. Do You Stack Up #3 - think pink
3. Stamp Something - cute somethings - I think these fairies are precious.
4. Create 4 Fun #4 - sketch. I used this sketch for all the cards.
5. The Crafty Pad #105 - something girly

My next card is a baby blue fairy boy. Isn't he sweet!I colored him with Copics and added "welcome, baby!" to the front. I thought he was sweet with the blue flowers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. A Spoon Full of Sugar #135 - blue and green
2. The ABC Challenge - M is for magical
3. wee memories #40 - free your creativity
4. Allsorts Challenge #87 - male/boy - this is a card for a boy baby. I don't know if it counts.

My last two cards are gender neutral. I really love yellow and green for babies. I think these turned out really sweet. I colored this yellow card with Copics and added buttons to the corners. I have baby ribbon in green, which I've had a hard time figuring out how to use, but I think it works here.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
2. Wags and Whiskers #45 - Fairy Special Challenge
3. Ellephantastic #22 - new beginnings
4. CES Challenge #20 - angels/fairies
5. Paper Cutz #75 - anything goes

You still have a few days to join TLL's Valentine's digi day challenges. We have a lot of great prizes from Fresh Brewed Designs, Digis with Attitude, Glitterbabe, The Stamping Boutique, and JLJ Designs. We also have a sentiment only challenge, make your own embellishment challenge and winter challenge.

When I discovered card making several months ago, my digital scrapbooking got put on the back burner. I'm now WAY behind on my 2010 scrapbook.

Here's a page with pictures from Peanut's birthday. I followed the Scrap Map at Creative Craft World. The papers and elements are all from Brownie Scraps Birthday Bash Collab.

Did you miss TLL's Valentine's Digi Day? It's not too late to join the challenges. We have four challenges - Valentine's card with no hearts, Red, white and pink color challenge, use a Valentine's punch, and Sweets for the Sweet.

Here are some projects to inspire you:

I took a Prima Flowers tin and repurposed it to make this sweet container. The image isCupcakeby The Stamping Boutique - yummy!

For these mini-cards, I used Sweet On You from Fresh Brewed Designs. This image just screamed for glitter, so I used iridescent Stickles on the whipped cream and silver glitter glue on the spoon.

I managed to make a card/project for each of the Some Odd Girl challenges! This is a mini card (3"x3") for today's challenge using Snow Kitty. I actually made several of these as I thought they'd make great gift tags for Christmas. I colored the image with Copics and added Stickles. I added the sentiment before I printed out the image.

Peanut's Coloring and a card

Peanut had a lot of fun coloring Some Odd Girl coloring sheets. She requested her markers first thing when I got out the coloring sheets. She colored School Girl Tia very deliberately with her green marker, taking special care with her eyes!

She's entering her coloring sheets in the Kids Day challenge at Some Odd Girl.

I have an Odd card as well. This time I used Coffee Mae. I colored her with Copics and added glitter to her headband, the heart on her shirt, and shoe buckles. The papers are from DCWV's Sweet Stack. I added ribbon and Recollections flowers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Some Odd Girl Anniversary Week Elements Challenge - I used O(range), G(litter), and L(layers).

Two Cards?

My first card tonight is an Oddie. I'm trying to enter all the Odd Girl challenges for anniversary week - so far, I'm two for two!

I colored School Girl Tia with Copics with glitter added to her shoes and Glossy Accents on her barrettes. I used papers that I'd won many moons ago at TLL - I don't have the pack they came in anymore. The glitter is on the paper. I cut the flowers out of one sheet and used them for embellishment. I added buttons and flowers to finish the card.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
2. Simon Says Stamp - bingo - I used buttons, flowers, and glitter.
3. Crazy Challenge #50 - buttons

My second card(s) for tonight is a little set I made using the Crafter's Companion Christmas magazine. The first image is decoupaged. The other three cards make a little matching set.

I'd like to enter these in the following challenges:
1. Paper Sundaes - First Birthday celebration pick your favorite challenge - I chose #49 Cut It Out. Paper Sundaes is also having a blog hop with great prizes!
2. Creative Craft World - cute and cuddly

Happy Birthday Princess

To make this card, I only used one piece of double sided paper, except the purple glitter behind the image. The front side was this calm purple with blue polka dots and the back side was wild. I like the fun feeling it gives.

The image is Manga Princess from Sugar Nellie. I colored her with Copics. I'm really happy with the way her hair turned out - that's about Peanut's color! I added some Martha Stewart brads, a printed sentiment, and gold stick-on gems.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Sugar Bowl #51 - Kiki's Sketch + birthdays
2. Stamp Scrap and Doodle - anything goes
3. Lothian Crafts #10 - anything goes
4. Let's Ink It Up #8 - anything goes

Same Digi 3 Ways

I'm glad it's a holiday for me. DH has taken Peanut to the store and I'm spending quality time in the craft room - crafting and listening to a wonderful story on the radio about Martin Luther King.
The first challenge this week at Some Odd Girl's Anniversary celebration is to use the same digi three ways. I made this set today. I think it would be great for a going away set - a card, gift tag, small container for something nice, and a note card.

The container is a recycled food container from our local BBQ place. I like to reuse these containers. I used Tiny Tia for my digi. To make the patterned paper, I made a pattern of Tia in PSE and then overlayed it with the purple polka dot paper, so the lines are mostly purple with a little yellow. I added flowers and a butterfly to make the top of the container. I wrapped a ribbon around the base and made a bow.

I don't have close-ups of the gift tag and note card. For those, I used the same Tia pattern, but without the overlay so that the lines are black. I thought the card, box, and tag could be used at a going away party and then the notecard could be used to write your friend a letter after she's settled in her new place.
For the card, I colored Tia using Copics. I used a sentiment from Raindrop Echo. I used the polka dot paper on the outside and the Tia patterned paper on the inside.
