My First Knitting Project - Peppermint Pig

I've been quiet for a while.  I haven't felt very crafty recently.  Then I found knitting and it has refreshed me for all crafting!  This is my first knitted project.  I love the look of little knitted animals and other creatures, and Anna Hrachovec's books were right up my alley.

I learned a lot knitting this little pig.  The stitches don't have constant tension, but I did finish it.  These little projects can be done in no more than a few days, which I like too.  After so many years quilting, I didn't want to commit to long-term projects :-)

Stay tuned for more knitted projects! I have several to share this week.

It's Cupcake Inspirations Time!  We are sponsored this week by

DRS Designs is generously providing a prize of

to our randomly chosen winner.

Thank you for sponsoring the challenge!

Each challenge, we give you an inspiration cupcake and you make a card or other craft project that is inspired by the cupcake.  Here is this week's cupcake (linked to original source):

Here's my card.  I was going for clean and simple.  I used 2 Line Flowers from DRS Designs.  I selectively inked the stamp so that I could get the flowers in different places.  The sentiment is from an old sentiment stamp set that I had and I don't still have the label.

Here's my card.  I got out an older Magnolia stamp and had fun.  I haven't colored in a while.  I made the card using a Core'dinations card.  I embossed it and sanded it slightly to give it highlights.  The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch.
