Make It Colourful - Wet, Wet, Wet

Sorry this is late! I thought I scheduled it, but evidently I didn't.

This week's challenge at Make It Colourful is coloring an object that looks wet. I wasn't going to play this week because I thought this was a pretty scary challenge. Then I had an idea for a page in my art journal and I thought I would give it a try. Teamie Barbara shared some helpful tips with the team (don't worry I'll have them in the tips and tricks post tomorrow) and I gave a water drop a try. I'm not totally happy, but it's not bad for a first try. You don't have to be an expert color-er to join in the Make It Colourful - just give it a try!

The image I used is A Time To Relax from Make It Crafty. I made a fairly simple page in my art journal about our family habit of going to the bathroom to find a better attitude. You don't have to "go," it's just a way to take a break.
You can sign up for my birthday candy until August 18th (DT members welcome)!

Happy Crafting!

Jen, I love your idea for your page and it's so true as well....I definitely emerge with a better attitude after a nice long soak in the bath, preferable with a glass of wine, some choccie and watching something frothy on the laptop DVD! lol.

Lovely journal page too, the colouring is really pretty and a great drop of water. CoB

Great page Jen, love the colours and the eclectic letters. The water drops look fab too great shading.

This scene would make a perfect page for me and my other half. When I need a 'better attitude' or just time to myself I go and have a bath (the family know better than to disturb me when I'm bathing), my other half goes and sits and reads (I don't question what he's doing when he reads I don't really want to know) but as we have energy saving lights all over the house except the bathroom which has fluorescent apparently it's better for reading. I hope your having a great weekend. :-) xx

I love it!
We always call the bathroom the "Library", because it's where we get to do our best reading! (-:
