Chat and Craft at TCC

Join us at 8pm ET in the chat room at The Crafter's Cafe for a fun chat and craft - just 30 minutes from now!  We'll be making these pizza boxes based on this tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers and chatting.   The sponsor for our fun crafty time is A Creative Need and I used Love Birds for my project.  The sentiment is from Everyday Mini Postage Stamp Sentiments by Whimsy Stamps.  The box was super-easy to make and fun to decorate.  We'll be swapping the boxes when we're done.

Here's the inside, which I'll be filling with crafty goodies for the swap.
I'd like to enter this project in the following challenges:
1. Crafty Sentiments - let's get girly - I think it's hard to get more girly than pink tulle.
2. Digital Tuesday #146 - pink or red
3. Papertake Weekly - Anything goes
4. Shopping our Stash #38 - Valentines - all the papers and embellies have been in my stash for quite a while.

We're having fun at The Crafter's Cafe!

We're having fun at The Crafer's Cafe this weekend.  We have several games with great prizes.  The Crafter Below Me game is going on right now and you can win a $12 gift certificate from A Day for Daisies.  You have until Monday evening to play the games - plenty of time.

The Event Team made inspiration cards featuring our sponsors.  For my card, I used Tiny Pixie Daisy.  I made this card as a birthday card for a sweet little girl who is turning 1.  Have I told you that I have a roll of pink tulle that I've had for 13 years and I'm trying to use it up.  You'll see it on a lot of projects!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Crafty Cardmakers #61 - monochrome magic

Veteran's Day Challenge at The Crafter's Cafe

It's time for a new challenge at The Crafter's Cafe! This month, we're kicking things off with a Veteran's Day challenge. I made this card with Officer Oakley from Digital Delights by Louby Lou. I went with a simple, no glitter design so that I can send it to Operation Write Home.

I'd like to thank all who serve and who have served.

TCC Sept Progressive Challenge - Week 4

It's week four for the TCC progressive challenge. This week we have Happy Birthday! + pink/peach and teal/green + "terrible twos" - use the number 2 or 2 of something. I used a little less green and pink this week : ) I did use two birds and two sets of balloons, convenient that the image had those built in!

TCC Sept Progressive Challenge - Week 3

It's week 3 in for the TCC Progressive Challenge. This week it's Happy Birthday! + pink/peach and green/teal. I used a template from WendyBird Designs to create this card featuring the Cynthia Digital Papers and Baking Cynthia from The Stamping Boutique. I'm really getting into these templates for creating cards with digi papers.

TCC Sept Progressive Challenge Week 1

We're going to be celebrating all month long at The Crafter's Cafe. Have you seen the amazing blog candy available just for being a member? We'll be announcing the winner at our September Digi Day, which will be filled with games fun and challenges. JLJ Designs is sponsoring a digi paper challenge all month - anything goes as long as you use digi paper.

My card for the first week of our progressive challenge would fit right in at the digi paper challenge, too! I made my own template in PSE then added papers from my A Boy's Life Minikit. I layered on Spaceship from The Stamping Boutique. I added two robots from the kit and Have a Blast from The Stamping Boutique to the bottom of my printed page. I printed the whole thing out, colored the images with Copics, and cut out the robots and sentiment. I used pop dots to make the robots and sentiment stand out. I added lots of glitter to finish the card.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

1. Birthday Sundaes #25 - birthday card

2. iCopic #46 - glitter

JLJ Designs Digi Paper Challenge at The Crafter's Cafe

I'm trying something new this month in the JLJ Designs group at The Crafter's Cafe. We're having a Digi Paper Challenge for the month of September. The challenge this month is Anything Goes, as long as you use digi papers. They don't need to be JLJ Designs Digi Papers to play.

I'm featuring the Stacie Digital Paper Pack this month and it's on sale all month for 25% off! Use the coupon code STACIESEPT2011 to get the discount.
I've made a card using the Stacie Digital Paper Pack combined with Cards Vol 5: Cut Down by Wendybird Designs. Hybrid templates are a great way to use digital papers. I added three digital stamps Monster Dreams and Monster Balloons from Little Miss Muffet Designs and the Birthday Set from The Stamping Boutique. I added the images to the template so this printed out as one sheet of paper.
Here's the inside:
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
2. Totally Gorjuss #95 - as you like it

We hope you'll join us this month for our challenge.

Computers and Tildas

We have a new addition to the progressive challenge at The Crafter's Cafe - Anything goes with a bow and sparkle. I have a set of 3"x3" cards featuring Swinging Cynthia, New Wings Cynthia, I Love You this Much Cynthia, Seamstress Cynthia, and Cynthia Digi Papers from The Stamping Boutique. You'll have to come back next week to see the finished product.

Peanut found this piece of folded cardboard and immediately claimed it as her "computer." I thought we could build on that with some stickers and glitter. I helped her layout the keyboard and then she decorated the screen and added the glitter mousepad.

Peanut is going to enter this in the kids challenge at The Crafter's Cafe. The challenge is back to school. What almost-four-year old doesn't need a computer for her first year at preschool?

I tried a card with Tilda stamped in dove gray ink to hide the lines. After coloring this image, I think that having an image that you want to have white areas on may not be the best use for the "disappearing" ink. I used Basic Grey (dark red, cream print) and DCWV (light green, flower red) for the papers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
2. CES Challenge #49 - papers from two manufacturers
3. Fab 'n Funky #85 - Christmas
4. Just Magnolia #119 - Holiday Fun
5. Secret Crafter #147 - Christmas is coming
6. Magnolia Down Under Challenge #109 - inspired by a song - "Deck the Halls"
7. The Crazy Challenge - monthly Christmas challenge
