The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan - Paper Piecing

I'm way late in getting my post up for The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan.  I used a sweet image from Saturated Canary with Chase Your Dreams by Bella Gypsy.  The kit is no longer available at The Digichick.  I've been traveling a lot and I was working ahead.  I love the polka dot tights.  I digital paper pieced the image by placing the stamp over the digital paper in PSE and then printing it.  I cut out each layer and glued them  onto the base stamp where I'd colored here face and arms.

Color Card Caravan Challenge at The Hybrid Chick

I'm so excited to have my first card for The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan!  This week we have a color challenge.

I love the color palette and Affirmation from elise's Pieces was a perfect kit to use.  I printed papers and elements.  I paper pieced Canary Love by Saturated Canary using the papers from the scrapbook kit.  I cut out the printed elements to embellish my card.  I love the way the banner looks folded, but it's really a flat piece of paper.  One of the great things about the digi kits is that you can add complicated stitching to your project very easily.  I added stitching to the journal card and printed it out.

It's time for a new challenge at Cupcake Inspirations. For my project, I used Whispy from Saturated Canary. I printed her on Make It Colour paper and colored her with Copics. I need a gift bag for my dance teacher, and I thought Whispy looked perfect for the job. I haven't done many gift bags, but I had a stash of plain white ones in the craft closet. I was surprised at how easy it was!

Another Halloween Page

I made another page for my Halloween poem book tonight. I used Trick-or-Treat Kitty from Saturated Canary. I love these images and this is the first one I bought and colored. I used Prisma pencils. I dug out some of last year's fall paper and added a poem by Jack Petrusky.
