We're getting ready for the holidays at The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan. I love the Waiting for Santa bundle from Wishing Well Creations for the fun colors. The addition of pink to the traditional colors warms my girly heart. I paired the papers with cute little Elise from Make It Crafty for a holiday card for a little girl.

We're dreaming of snow at The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan. Our challenge this fortnight is to make a card with this photo inspiration.
Here's my card. You can see my supplies used below. I printed a single layer card using digital papers and a digital stamp. I added some embellies when I was done coloring.

The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan - Thankful
Before I share my cards, I have sad personal news. Today, I took my cat Misty to the vet to be put to sleep. He was 16 and had stage four kidney disease. He's been with me since he was two months old. May he rest in peace.
We're thankful this fortnight at The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan. I wasn't feeling very crafty this weekend, but the November Digichick Designer Collab made these cards really easy. I love the colors. I made two clean and simple cards. The first uses papers and elements from the kit.
The second uses a printable card that's included with the kit. I added papers banners and a "button."

The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan - fall
We're falling into the season at The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan this fortnight. I was so inspired by Wishing Well Creations new bundle - Pumpkin Patch - that I made two cards. One a little darker and one a little brighter, but both very cute. I layered the papers digitally using Stacks by Girl Boy Girl Designs and added Halloween Sentiments Digital Stamps by Arty Pants Digital Stamps.
For my first card, I used Trick-or-Treat by Saturated Canary. I couldn't find it in the shop, but she's super cute.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Allsorts #176 - too cute to spook
2. Aud Sentiments #65 - Halloween
For my second card, I used a new release from Tiddly Inks - Witchy Wren.
I printed out the same topper for the inside of the card and added a sentiment. Digital papers make it so easy to make 2!

2. Crafty Calendar - all things spooky
3. Card Makin' Mamas - Halloween/spooky

Pop It Up
While I was traveling, I missed posting a few cards. I thought I would share them with you this week. This card was for The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan Pop It Up challenge. The image is Celeste Amberglow Cupcake Party by Pollycraft. The papers and elements are from Girl Basics by Bella Gypsy Designs. Bella Gypsy have moved from The Digichick to Scrap Orchard since I made the card.
I printed the image and the paper layers as one layer with shadows. I printed the butterflies and the banner and cut them out and popped them up.

The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan - 7 things
Hi all! I'm trying to get back into my regular blogging schedule since all my travels. So far, it's not going as well as I hoped. Between Peanut's activities and work, I've been REALLY busy.
I ran a 5 K yesterday as part of my working toward running the Disney half marathon in January. Who would have thought exercising could take so much time?
Today, I want to share my card for The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan. Our challenge this week is to use 7 things on your card. I used 7 pearls. I realized that I'm really behind on Christmas cards, so I thought this is as good a time to start as any. I used Wish List Letter to Santa by etc. by Danyale. I love the journaling elements in this kit. I added a sweet Christmas Tilda to finish my card.
Here are the colors I used to color Tilda. I'm in love with the red and brown color combo, which I learned about in my Created from Color Basic Class. Totally worth it if you're looking to improve your coloring skills.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Simon Says - anything goes
2. ABC Christmas - S is for Santa Clause
3. The Paper Shelter #83 - anything goes

The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan - Paper Piecing
I'm way late in getting my post up for The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan. I used a sweet image from Saturated Canary with Chase Your Dreams by Bella Gypsy. The kit is no longer available at The Digichick. I've been traveling a lot and I was working ahead. I love the polka dot tights. I digital paper pieced the image by placing the stamp over the digital paper in PSE and then printing it. I cut out each layer and glued them onto the base stamp where I'd colored here face and arms.

The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan - Ice Cream inspired
We're celebrating National Ice Cream month at The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan. Check out this inspiration photo:
But we're doing it with a twist, you need to add glitter, brads, or a similar topping to your card.
Here's my card using Birthday Buddies Digital Stamps and Birthday Buddies Paper Pack from Paper Garden Projects. We're headed to a little boy's birthday later this afternoon (tomorrow when you read this) and this card will be perfect. I love the bright colors from the paper pack, although I didn't get to show you much of the paper since I made my image so big!

Stitching at the Hybrid Chick
Our challenge this fortnight at The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan is real or faux stitching. I love using digital scrapping tools to get stitching on my card. I used Summer Morning, which came with a fantastic set of hexagon stitches, which I used on my card. I added some digital stitches to the border. I chose Jasmine by Little Miss Muffet Designs - she's perfect because she's stitched too. This card makes me feel comforted.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Little Miss Muffet #37 - loads of layers/anything goes w/ LMM image - I'm not sure if this counts for loads of layers, but it's definitely LMM.
2. Cardmadfairy's Digi Days Challenge - girly
3. Crafts and Me #89 - anything goes
4. 2 Sisters #97 - anything goes

The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan - Pink
Our challenge this fortnight at The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan is pink. I LOVE pink. Peanut even knows it's my favorite color and chose pink nail polish for me when we went to the salon the other day. When I saw the new release, The Little Things by Bella Gypsy, I knew that it would be perfect for my pink card. I printed out the papers and the sentiment subway art. I used a Tim Holtz die on my Big Shot to create flowers out of the papers. I don't think I've ever inked up this Surfing Tilda before. I thought she'd be great for enjoying the little things.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Tildas Town #2 - water fun
2. Willow Sketchie Challenge - sketch
3. Crafts and Me - fabulous flowers
4. Wags 'n Whiskers #80 - summer fun

The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan - Inspired by Nature
This fortnight at The Hybrid Chick Card Caravan we're inspired by nature. I got Koala Hug Tilda in the mail yesterday and I REALLY wanted to play with her for this challenge. The papers and scalloped edge in Stitches and Blooms by TDC guest Michelle Batton were just perfect for what I had in mind - a bright, flowery card. I added a sentiment from Card Sentiments 2 by Arty Pants Digital Stamps. I think Tilda and her koala are best friends.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Just Magnolia #154 - buttons and bows
2. Midweek Magnolias #8 - open theme
3. Divas by Design #32 - buttons and/or bows
4. Crafty Creations #167 - that's what little girls are made of
5. Cute Card Thursday #214 - animal magic
