When I saw Dilly Beans Doodled Flowers Framed, I thought it was a great inspiration for an art journal page.  I've always loved the quote, "Bloom where you are planted."  I tried playing with creative lettering for the first time on this page.  I printed the stamp on wax paper and added it to bottom of the page.  I cut out three of the flowers from a second stamp and put them around the page.  I used the doodled frame as inspiration for my page.

Here's my card with My Neighborhood by Fresh Brewed Designs.  I love coloring with light colored pencils on kraft paper and the pink and white from the cupcake really screamed out for this.

I've been experimenting with art journaling recently.  I watercolored the background.  I made a collage sheet with paper and embellies from Kristin Aagard's Nerd Alert, and tore that up to make the tree trunk.  I printed the map paper from the same kit to make the "leaves."  I added an apple with glasses from the same kit.  I found the Apple a Day Kit from the Orchard Girls at Scrap Orchard and added the other apple and the tag with a quote I found from Carl Sagan.

2 Cute Ink Challenge #114 - Anything Goes!

I'm so excited to announce that I'm now a member of the 2 Cute Ink Design Team!  I love these super cute images and am delighted to join.

Today, is my first card for the 2 Cute Ink Challenge.  Since the challenge is anything goes and Peanut's 7th birthday is coming up (where has the time gone?!?), I thought I would make a birthday card for her.  As with many little girls, her favorite colors are pink and purple and she loves unicorns.  Lucky Unicorn is perfect!

I colored Lucky Unicorn with Copics.  I added silver glitter to her mane and tail, which is really sparkly and not showing up in the picture.  I added silver doilies, silver net, feathers (instead of leaves) and a flower.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. 4 Crafty Chicks #209 - something old/something new - the image is new and the embellies are old - you're right it is good to go through the stash
2. Crafty Girls Challenge #25 - anything goes
3. Cute Card Thursday - anything goes
4. Southern Girls Challenge - It's all about texture
