Recycled Gift Boxes

These little boxes contained ribbon from Target. I thought they'd make cute little treat boxes. I took the label from the boxes and made a little template and cut it out of cardstock. The stamps are from Penny Black - Holly Jolly Christmas. I love these cute little guys. They're colored with my usual assortment of markers. I added paper from DCWV's Summer Stack to the cardstock. I tied brown ribbon with blue circles and snowflakes around the box to make a present.

I'd like to enter these boxes in the following challenges:
1. ABC Christmas - U is for under the tree - make a gift or gift bag/box
2. Crazy Challenge #35 - Go green recycle - whoops, missed this challenge.
3. Penny Black Saturday #122 - two or more images - I don't know if this counts, but the boxes do go together.
4. City Crafter #25 - Hooray for the holidays
5. Bah! Humbug! #39 - favorite cuties

Fun with Freebies

(2nd post) Stay tuned to the end for great candy links. I happened into a treasure trove of Halloween freebies. I Did It Creations Forum has a great freebie challenge with Halloween Word Art from Stampin' Dragon Designs. Simply Betty offered a wonderful freebie for her followers. Jak Heath offered a Halloween sheet with word art.

I combined the image from Simply Betty and word art from I Did It Creations Forum and Jak Heath to create an easel card. I colored the images with my usual assortment of markers. I used papers and ribbon from Target. I made my own ribbon flower.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. I Did It Creations Forum - freebie challenge
2. The Latte Lounge - fall/Halloween
3. Cute Card Thursday #133 - make your own embellishment - ribbon flower
4. Fussy and Fancy #21 - Halloween
5. Create 4 Fun #41 - use digi stamp
6. Wee Memories #26 - Halloween

Speaking of treasure troves -
Crafty Goings On has a wonderful copics candy going on until Nov. 14th.
Bizzy Becs has a new store and blog. There will be lots of challenges (I love challenges!) and they're offering a candy to kick off their new venture.

Happy Halloween!

So many Halloween challenges this week! I've been having such fun with orange, black, purple and spooky/costume images.

This card uses Lil Lolita Evie. I love her outfit and thought it would be perfect for Halloween. I colored her with my usual assortment of markers. I found the paper at Target and thought it would be a perfect background for a Halloween card. I didn't think the card needed much else, so I added a Happy Halloween ribbon and left it at that.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Lil Lolita Boutique Challenges #18 - orange, purple, and black
2. Simon Says Challenge - Halloween
3. Lexi's Creation #24 - spooky
4. I Did It Creations Forum - Cards, Cards #15 - spooky
5. Treehouse #70 - spooky colors

Father's Day Card

I know Father's Day seems totally out of season. This is a card for my friend's Christmas present. When he said a box of cards sounded like a great present, he specifically mentioned Mother's Day and Father's Day.

The image is Dad 'n Me from Cowgirl Up Designs. I colored the image with colored pencils. The papers are from the DCWV fall pack that I got this week. I thought they went great for Father's Day too.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
2. Stampavie #111 - sketch
3. Fab 'n Funky #43 - use a digi image

Wedding Card

I don't make very many wedding cards, but I really love this Kiki and Cuthbert image from Pollycraft. I colored the image with my usual assortment of markers. I wanted to try something new so I put eyelets in each corner and threaded ribbon through them. The papers, including the butterfly and flower tab, are all from a Cardmaking and Papercraft freebie. I added some bling to finish off the card.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Pollycraft Monday #64 - anything goes
2. Teddy Stampers #20 - bear acrostic - Butterfly, Eyelet, Apple green paper, Ribbon - the A was really hard!
3. Just Cute Bears #36 - bling and swirls
4. Spoon Full of Sugar #124 - sparkle and shine
5. Papertake Weekly - Birthday celebration - choose your favorite challenge. I chose "Animal Magic." I LOVE animal cards!!
