Thankful for you!

Hello all! I had a lot of fun with this card. I used more of the DCWV fall paper that fell into my cart yesterday at Michael's. The tree is cut out from the background paper. The image and sentiment are from Your Next Stamp.

I colored the image with Copics, Promarkers and Prisma markers. I had a couple of comments the other day about using different kinds of markers. I only have a few of each, so in order to have enough colors, I use all of them. I'm not very good with them, so I don't really have a technique. I just like the bright colors they produce. The sentiment has glitter chalk over it.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Simon Says Challenge - It's Autumn - photo inspiration
2. Stamping Vacation - sketch therapy
3. Paper Cutz #61 - three patterned papers (dots, gingham, trees)
4. Stampin' for the Weekend #48 - autumn inspiration

The Owl and the Pumpkin

Shouldn't that be The Owl and the Pussycat? I had a trip to Michael's this afternoon. A near crisis was averted when we found the Dora the Explorer bracelet she dropped. I was bracing for tears when we spotted it on the ground outside the shop. I found two great DCWV fall paper packs on sale at Michael's - Yippee!

Before I get started on my card, make sure you check out Stitchy Bear and I Did It Creations Crafting Boutique. If you purchase $10 worth of products, you'll get a great Child's Christmas collab containing papers AND digi stamps for FREE!!!

I used the DCWV papers for this card, along with wonderful orange and black patterned paper from Robyn's Fetish. I used the pumpkin from my Halloween Accessories pack and Owlie from Some Odd Girl. I colored both images with Copics. The flower and leaf are Recollections from Michael's (not today's trip).

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Cupcake Inspirations #79 - I was inspired by the pumpkin and the darker colors on this cupcake.
2. Create 4 Fun #40 - sketch
4. Fuzzy Wuzzy - multiple images

Two Sweet Girls?

I have two cards tonight - Happy World Cardmaking Day! I finally got in the craft room this evening. My first card is Willow from Lil Lolita. I colored her with Copics, Promarkers, and Prismacolors. The patterned papers are freebies from Cardmaking and Papercraft, along with the sentiment and chipboard. The pink and blue papers are from my stash.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
2. One Stop Craft Challenge #100 - Congratulations - I think Hooray! is in keeping with the theme.

I mentioned earlier that my mom gifted me with several
stamps for my birthday. Chinese Tilda is one of them. I'm totally in love with the Bon Voyage collection. She's colored with Copics, Promarkers, and Prismacolors. I've created this easel card with papers from Basic Grey Kioshi. The sentiment and chipboard are freebies from Cardmaking and Papercraft. I added sparkly rhinestones and brads.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
3. Stampavie #110 - more than one fold

Happy World Card Making Day!

I have a bunch of cards to share this morning. Peanut and I were busy yesterday! But first, all the news that's fit to print:

One Stitch at a Time is having an amazing contest today with lots of prizes to be won! It's not too late to join the challenge. They're looking for just 32 more cards to break the 300 card barrier!

Stitchy Bear Stamps shop has new 99 cent specials. I've added my fawn in the trees as a special this month.

My card won over at Crafty Creations. I'm so excited!

I don't think I mentioned this already, but I won a prize in the Stamping Vacation blog hop! This is a great blog if you love challenges as much as I do. Thank you Denise for organizing a fun day!

So, now we get down to business - the cards. The first is Peanut's card. She won the freebie challenge at I Did It Creations forum last week. It's her first cardmaking prize. She was excited to pick this digi - Bunny Art from Stitchy. She's showed unusual restraint on this card. She colored the image with purple Crayola washables. She added some glitter chalk and a blue fabric brad.

The second card is Cuddly Anya. I've been eyeing this sweet stamp for a while now. My mom very generously bought me several stamps for my birthday, and this was one of them. I stamped the image on cream cardstock and colored her with colored pencils. The patterned and brown paper was a two sided paper from 29th Street Market. The olive green paper is from Robyn's Fetish.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. Greeting Farm color challenge - chocolate, vanilla, old olive
3. Everybody Art #110 - friends

This week the freebie challenge at IDIC forum is really SWEET! This week it's sponsored by The Crafty Pad. This image really screamed to me to be a shaped card. I colored it with Copics, Promarkers and Prisma markers. I added beads for the sprinkles and LOTS of glitter.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
1. IDIC Forum - Freebie challenge
2. Pollycraft Monday Challenge #63 - no designer paper
3. Lollipop Crafts #9 - glitter, sparkle, and gems
4. Cupcake Craft Challenge #110 - pink and brown - I was going for strawberry ice cream with chocolate sauce - Hope it counts!

Here's Peanut's card using the same image. She colored it and I helped her cut it out. She added beads and red glitter.

Thanks for hanging in with me on this long post. I hope you spend the day in your craft room on World Cardmaking Day!

Simply Betty 12 Days of Halloween

Simply Betty is having a 12 Days of Halloween Challenge. I thought I'd give it a try. The hardest part of the challenge is a new card every day when the challenge is announced. Today, you have to incorporate one or more skelletons on your card. I used Mina from Simply Betty Stamps, which has convenient skelletons built in. I followed the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #73.

I colored the image with Copics and Prisma markers. The papers, other than the black, are from my Halloween paper pack. I added flowers and rhinestones from my stash.

Happy Halloween!
